Cory Buchta’s presentation “Effective Public Speaking” will cover foundational knowledge and methods for preparing effective presentations, eliminating disfluencies, and overcoming public speaking anxiety.
Edward Young will utilize award-winning presentation and professional training methods in his presentation “Powerful Presentations for Promotion and Profit: 5 ways to be Connected, Remembered and Chosen” to teach you how to create impactful presentations that will be remembered. These five methods will help your clients, customers and co-workers look to you as the go-to person in your organization. He will also give a quick tutorial on delivering a rock star elevator speech.
Cory has over 13 years of experience with competitive public speaking as both a competitor and a coach. He was a member of a nationally recognized collegiate public speaking team and taught high school speech and debate for four years. He has worked as a producer and reporter in the TV news industry, and currently moonlights as a speech and presentation coach.
Edward is a four-time Semi-Finalist in Toastmasters International World Championship of Public Speaking contest. Out of approximately 35000 contestants worldwide, he has finished in the top 20 in the world. He is also a business owner and professional speech coach. He coaches professionals to be better speakers and presenters. He is also a Certified Contract Trainer for Pryor Learning Solutions. He has spoken in 44 states on topics such as Communicating with Tact And Professionalism, Excellent Customer Service, Front Desk and Security and other soft skills topics as well as Better Voices for Better Choices and From Why to Wow. He has presented inspiring, entertaining motivational programs to various groups including Kansas Society of Professional Engineers, Missouri Society of Professional Engineers, Lions Club Kansas State Convention, SHRM Chapters and performed DOT Drug Free Workplace training.
