Join the Wichita Creative Community in building AIGA Wichita's second iteration/interpretation of The Deck.
Registration runs thru May 26th. Once registration closes, participants will select their card online from a traditional deck of 54 playing cards. AIGA members will select their cards on May 27. Non-members on May 28.
In order to fund the printing of the Deck, we're now charging a $25 participation fee. This fee not only helps cover our printing costs, but also enters the creative into The Deck and ensures they will receive their own deck of cards. Artwork submitted must be either vector or raster based at 300 DPI as a press quality PDF with bleed. No photography will be accepted.What Is The Deck?
The Deck is a collaborative community design project where creatives show off their skills by designing the front of a playing card. The 54 card deck celebrates the diversity of Wichita's Design Community.Why is there a fee now?
Last year we debuted the Deck, a collaborative project where local creatives designed their own card from a deck of cards. It was met with praise from the participants along with the Wichita community. Due to Covid-19 we had to cancel our gallery showing of The Deck, and also delay the release to the public. This resulted in a loss of revenue that would've help to recuperate our printing costs. In order for us to bring this fun community project back for a second year, we are now charging a participation fee. It will help cover a portion of the printing costs and ensures each participant will receive their own deck of cards.Event is pre-registration only
Refunds available until registration closes. If a participant is unable to complete the project, a partial refund will be given up until 15 days before the end of the project. If the deadline is missed, no refund will be given. AIGA Wichita reserves the right to approve or deny any design for quality assurance. No refund will be given to anyone removed from the project.
